-Week 6  - Week 10 -Takeguchi Shunta/ 0386416/Bachelor of Design in Creative Media D OCUMENTATION For this task, I needed to make a three-panel comic. I  decided to make a comic with the shark character since it would be easy to come up with a story. My story is below, I made it along the three-act structure: Setup, Conflict, and Resolution. Act 1 - Setup There was a shark in Australia that loved interacting with surfers. He showed up at the surf spot every day and played with the surfers. The surfers called him Gremmie Shark and loved him. Act 2 - Conflict One day, Gremmie Shark met a teenage beginner surfer named Michel. Michel was eager to improve his surfing skills, but he was still struggling to catch waves. Gremmie Shark found out that Michel was afraid of being swallowed by a big wave. They practiced together for many days. Act 3 - Resolution After long training, a perfect wave came. Everyone who knew him was watching and hoping he would ride the wave successfully. Fort...

Illustration & Visual Narrative | Task 02: Composition

-Week 3  - Week 6 -Takeguchi Shunta/ 0386416/Bachelor of Design in Creative Media D OCUMENTATION For this task, I needed to make a background for the character created in task 1 and incorporate it into a card design.  I selected the shark character for this task since I like the dynamicness of the artwork, and it would be a good challenge to express the ocean texture in Illustrator.  I made the moodboard before moving to the sketch process.  Moodboard I started to draw three sketches. For each sketch, I include the composition technique. Sketch 1 In this sketch, I maintained the original character sketch I made in task 1. I tried to put three different environments and divide them by the Rule of Thirds, underwater, ocean surface, and sky, so that it would be a unique background. And I had feedback from the professor to make the fish bigger and closer to create a sense of distance, so I made them bigger in the sketch below.  Sketch 1 Sketch 2 In this sketch, I fo...

-Week 1  - Week 3 -Takeguchi Shunta/ 0386416/Bachelor of Design in Creative Media D OCUMENTATION In this task, we needed to create three characters. I started by exploring who, where, trait, and twist of characters. My idea of three characters was 1.  alien, mountain, funny, has a dog 2. robot, company, crazy, wears a suit 3. shark, Australia, chill, tall And to make the ideas clear, I searched moodboard on Pinterest.  1. Alien Alien moodboard 2. Robot Robot moodboard 3. Shark Shark moodboard I also create a background story for each character. 1. Alien I created this alien dog lover. He came from another galaxy, and met this 'will be his soulmate dog' in the pet shop. He now owns his house on earth and shares his life with the dog. They both love going for a long walk to the mountain.  2. Robot I imagine this robot is a prototype of an office working robot, helping colleagues and working like a real human employee. I made hi...

I searched up some ideas on the internet, but it shows the similar work to the demo, trees on a human face. So I picked interesting pictures and tried to make a double composition with them. In the end, I think I could create an original work.  For the photo manipulation task, I could gain some knowledge for shooting. I watched the videos shared by the professor and tried to utilize the skills ...
